IPX7 waterproof protection
The gasket sealed waterproof housing provides superior waterproof protection, equivalent to IPX7*.

Built-in multiple tone signalings
Use the built-in CTCSS, DTCS, 2-Tone and 5-Tone capability to set up your own talk groups or control a repeater.
Wide frequency range coverage
The IC-F50 covers 136-174MHz and the IC-F60 covers 400-470MHz or 450-520 (512) MHz, depending on version. Wide, and narrow channel spacing (25/12.5kHz) is programmable to each channel.
Compact body
56(W)×97(H)×36.4(D) mm compact body with durable, dependable construction, has been tested to military standard (MIL STD) specifications. The compact design fits comfortably in your palm, and is easy to carry around.
Li-Ion battery pack
The large capacity 1700mAh Lithium-Ion battery pack, BP-227, provides a practical 10 hours* of operating time.

FM intrinsically safe versions
Versions of the IC-F50/F60 are available that conform to the intrinsically safe rating of the FM Global. Intrinsically safe Class Ι, ΙΙ and ΙΙΙ, Division 1, Groups C, D, E, F, and G ; Nonincendive Class Ι, Division 2, Groups A, B, C and D hazardous locations when used with Icom BP-227FM battery pack “Max. Temp. T3C at 40°C”Approved accessories: Speaker-microphone, HM-138.
